Avengers’ Delayed: Marvel pushes Doomsday, Secret Wars to December 2026 and 2027
Marvel Studios has pushed back the release dates of its highly anticipated team-up films, “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” as part of a wider shake-up of Disney’s theatrical release calendar.
“Avengers: Doomsday” will now premiere on December 18, 2026, a delay of more than seven months from its originally planned May 1, 2026 debut.
In line with that change, “Avengers: Secret Wars” has also been moved, shifting from May 7, 2027 to December 17, 2027, according to Variety.
The delays were confirmed by Disney on Thursday afternoon, as the studio also revealed a substantial reorganisation of its upcoming film schedule. Among the key changes was the removal of several unannounced Marvel titles.
The slot previously held on February 13, 2026 for an “Untitled Marvel” film has been entirely dropped, while the November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2027 dates have been reclassified as “Untitled Disney” releases.
Shankar Mahadevan collaborates with Google’s AI tool to create new song
As a result, only two Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films are now slated for 2026 — “Avengers: Doomsday” and Sony’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
The changes also create a notable content gap for Marvel. There will be no theatrical MCU release between “The Fantastic 4: First Steps” on July 25 and the next Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” film on July 31, 2026.
This marks the longest interval between MCU features since the COVID-19 pandemic halted releases between 2019’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and 2021’s “Black Widow.”

NTR Jr calls ‘War 2’ role ‘extremely special’ as teaser goes viral
The much-anticipated teaser for ‘War 2’, the latest instalment in Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) spy universe, is taking the internet by storm, racking up more than 30 million views on X and three million on Instagram.
The film features Telugu superstar NTR Jr in a face-off with Bollywood heavyweight Hrithik Roshan, promising high-octane action and intense drama.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji—best known for Brahmastra—War 2 marks his debut in the spy thriller genre.
According to Variety, the film also introduces Kiara Advani into the YRF spy universe as the female lead.
NTR Jr, whose previous outing ‘RRR’ gained global acclaim, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response the teaser has received. “It is truly a blessing to be an actor because you get to experience so much unconditional love from people,” he said.
“It is a very precious and a rare feeling and I’m really lucky to be receiving the same for War 2. This YRF spy universe film presents me in an all new avatar which I had a lot of fun portraying and I’m overwhelmed with the positivity and the love coming in from every quarter of the country.”
Describing the role as particularly meaningful, NTR Jr added that the character is extremely special to him. “When you give so much emotion, so much intensity and energy to your role, it is all the more exciting to see this kind of response from my fans, from people who love to see good cinema on the big screen.”

War 2 Teaser: Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani Poised for an Epic Bollywood-Tollywood Crossover
Amid soaring anticipation, ‘War 2’ teases a power-packed face-off between cinematic giants. Slated for release on August 14, 2025, this high-octane action thriller brings together Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani. With this compelling blend of Bollywood and Tollywood forces, the newly released teaser hints at a spectacle of intensity. Let’s break down the teaser, explore the star cast, and uncover how this crossover aims to leave a lasting impact.
WAR 2 Teased Darker Kabir
The 1-minute 34-second teaser was unveiled on X by Hrithik Roshan, who marked the occasion by welcoming Jr. NTR into the ‘War’ universe. In a message laced with intensity and menace, Hrithik, channelling the persona of Kabir, extended a challenge rather than a greeting.
NTR, in a fittingly fierce tone, responded with conviction. Without breaking character, the ‘RRR’ star declared that mercy held no place in his world, stating his readiness for war. The exchange between the two actors electrified social media, setting the tone for what promises to be a monumental face-off.

Teasers were simultaneously released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, amplifying anticipation across linguistic boundaries. Hrithik Roshan returns as Kabir, but with a sharper edge, physically transformed and more lethal than before. Scenes of sword-fighting, muscle-flexing, and a confrontation with a wolf signal a grittier evolution of the character.
From high-speed car chases to bone-crunching combat, the teaser delivers relentless action. Hrithik’s revamped Kabir portrays a character who is ruthless, unyielding, and ready for destruction.
A Power Glimpse into the YRF Spy Universe
The film ‘War 2’ stands for more than just a continuation of the 2019 blockbuster. It launches as the sixth chapter in the steadily expanding YRF (Yash Raj Films) Spy Universe. The franchise began with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in 2012 and evolved through ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017), ‘War’ (2019), ‘Pathaan’ (2023), and ‘Tiger 3’ (2023).

Now, with NTR and Kiara Advani stepping into the frame, the narrative shifts into darker, more intense terrain. Their entry signals a tonal shift, deepening the stakes within this high-stakes universe.
Touted as the most ambitious project in the series so far, the action movie was filmed over 150 days across six countries. Filmed across exotic locales such as Italy, Spain, Japan, Abu Dhabi, Russia, and India, the sequel embraces an expansive global canvas. It promises globe-trotting espionage of a scale seldom witnessed in Indian cinema.
Jr NTR Debuts as the Villain
The excitement surrounding the project gained momentum with the confirmation of NTR as the antagonist. This isn’t a typical villain role. Described as morally complex and richly layered, the character is designed to challenge the audience’s expectations and highlight NTR’s versatile craft.

The stakes rise significantly with this casting choice. With Hrithik returning as the lethal Kabir, the stage is set for a compelling clash. It pits ideology against instinct and charisma against sheer intensity.
Bigger than Ever Action Showdown
Every hallmark of the spy genre finds a place in War 2, from visceral hand-to-hand combat to swift swordplay and mid-ocean boat fights. The action extends across sky and land, with sequences involving planes, trains, bikes, and cars pushing physical limits.
These aren’t just stunts; they’re spectacles. Hrithik and NTR take centre stage in a celebration of presence, power, and purpose. It’s a fierce collision of equals, driven by pride, grit, and a relentless will to dominate.

Kiara Advani's First-ever Action Movie
Amid the charged intensity between NTR and Hrithik in the teaser, Kiara Advani’s striking presence adds a refreshing contrast. Her appearance brings a hint of glamour, with subtle cues pointing toward a possible romantic thread linked to Kabir. This marks her debut with YRF and her very first venture into action territory.
It’s also a milestone collaboration, her first project with both leading superstars and with director Ayan Mukerji.
In the previous installment, Vaani Kapoor portrayed Naina Sahani, the love interest of Kabir.
While the specifics of Kiara’s character remain under wraps, the narrative promises a blend of drama, romance, and, of course, dance.

Music and Dance Craft
Beyond the high-voltage action and shadowy intrigue, music finds a bold footing in ‘War 2’. The soundtrack features only two songs, but each has been crafted to leave a lasting impression. A standout moment comes in the form of a high-octane dance face-off between Hrithik and Jr. NTR.
Planned for a late-June shoot, the number is being described as a one-of-a-kind spectacle. Composed by Pritam, it’s designed to channel raw energy and screen charisma. Alongside it, a romantic track featuring Hrithik and Kiara Advani adds emotional texture. Both songs are poised to dominate charts and screen time alike.
Ayan Mukerji at the Helm
Ayan Mukerji began his directorial journey with ‘Wake Up Sid’ (2009). It earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director. He followed this success with ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2013) and ‘Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva’ (2022). Both movies were among the highest-grossing Hindi films of their time.

‘War 2’ marks his first project outside the Dharma Productions banner. Mukerji’s move into the high-octane spy genre might come as a surprise. Yet his signature blend of scale and emotional depth touts a fresh take on action cinema.
Summing Up
The on-screen collaboration of Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani in the War 2 teaser ushers in a fierce and stylish showdown. Crafted under the direction of Ayan Mukerji, it signals YRF’s most ambitious project to date. Alongside its adrenaline-charged sequences, the spy movie promises a blend of music, dance, and drama. With a star-studded cast, globe-spanning visuals, and two power-packed songs, the anticipation is immense. Fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of this epic cinematic crossover.

28 Years Later (2025) Film Reveals New Posters with More Surprises to Follow
Two striking new posters have surfaced for ‘28 Years Later,’ adding another layer of intrigue to the long-awaited sequel. With the film's June 20, 2025, release drawing closer, this sudden reveal hints at a wave of developments still under wraps. Anticipation is mounting, and what’s coming next might just reshape expectations. Let’s find out what the new posters of the upcoming film 28 Years Later (2025) reveal and gain further insight into the plot and cast.
28 Years Later Introduces A Trilogy to the Franchise
Helmed by Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle, ‘28 Years Later’ commences the third major installment in the franchise. This new chapter follows the previous entries in the series: ‘28 Days Later’ (2002) and ‘28 Weeks Later’ (2007). The post-apocalyptic film showcases the writing prowess of Alex Garland.
Ralph Fiennes, Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O'Connell, and Emma Laird headline the main cast.
The movie marks the return of Boyle, Garland, and cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle to the film series. All of them were central to the original production. Cillian Murphy, who portrayed the lead role, is not reprising his character in this installment but is attached as an executive producer.

Columbia Pictures, DNA Films, the British Film Institute, and Decibel Films drive the production with Sony Pictures Releasing as the distributor.
Filmmakers have officially confirmed that the upcoming film ’28 Years Later’ (2025) is going to be envisioned as the inaugural entry in a newly planned trilogy.
The second installment, titled ‘28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple,’ has completed production. The release date is also scheduled for January 16, 2026. Directed by Nia DaCosta, known for her work on The Marvels, the sequel retains Garland as screenwriter.
The third film has yet to be officially announced; however, Murphy is expected to return as Jim in the trilogy’s concluding chapter.

As they journey through the silent ruins, they begin to uncover buried secrets, fragments of beauty, and of course, horrors.

What New Posters Reveal
Two newly released international posters offer contrasting impressions of ‘28 Years Later.’ The first adopts a conventional layout, visually neat but emotionally muted. It echoes a familiar design approach, one that feels cautious and restrained. The second, however, stands in stark contrast. With a brooding atmosphere and visual restraint, it aligns closely with the bleak aesthetic the franchise has leaned into so far.
Dominating the second poster is a haunting skull, suspended like a faded memory over a barren landscape. It doesn’t shout; it lingers. The tagline, "El Tiempo No Ha Curado Nada" ("Time Has Not Healed Anything"), whispers a harsh truth. This is not a clean slate. It’s a continuation of unresolved horror.
In contrast to the cluttered, overstimulated posters that flood much of modern horror marketing, this piece chooses subtlety. There are no frantic collages of monstrous faces or blood-soaked figures. Instead, every detail feels deliberate. The skull, almost fused with the earth, evokes the sense of a world where decay has seeped into the soil. The biohazard symbol doesn’t read like a cliche. It registers as a grim seal on a poisoned reality.

The design recalls the stark power of the original film’s poster: Cillian Murphy alone on an empty bridge. That same minimalism returns here. Sparse. Atmospheric. Unnerving. This artwork doesn’t simply promote the film; it reflects the infection of its world.
Pre-release Record
Calling the anticipation for the upcoming horror movie intense would be an understatement. The first trailer, driven by a chilling, repetitive chant, quickly broke records. It became the most-viewed horror trailer of the year and now stands as the second-highest of all time, just behind the film ‘IT Chapter Two’ (2019).
The return of Boyle and Garland has only amplified interest. Garland, now a respected director in his own right, reunites with Boyle for what appears to be a gripping continuation.
Footage reveals a tense narrative set on a remote island, where survivors face a new mutation of the infected. This premise suggests more than a typical horror-action hybrid. It hints at suspense built through atmosphere, violence, and a welcome departure from formulaic bloodshed.

Horror Flick Starring a Kid in the Lead
A new central figure, a 13-year-old boy named Alfie, takes focus in the upcoming chapter of the movie series. While the presence of a child protagonist may echo elements of 28 Weeks Later, Alfie’s place in the story is distinct. His role unfolds within a very different context, shaped entirely by the world that came after the collapse.
Andy Harris, the young lead in the previous film, carried memories of a pre-outbreak world. He had lived through peace, witnessed civilisation, and understood what was lost when the virus consumed it. That perspective made him a bridge between two worlds: what was and what remained.
Alfie, by contrast, is a child of the aftermath. Born years after the initial outbreak, he knows nothing of normalcy. The tales of safety, community, and stability are mere fragments passed down in whispers. For him, the infected are not a fall from grace but a constant reality.
This difference shapes his worldview entirely. His journey will not be defined by nostalgia or loss but by survival within a world that has never been anything but hostile. In that sense, his character introduces a fresh lens, one not weighed down by memories but built in the shadow of ruins.

Bottom Line
New posters of the film 28 Years Later (2025) have evoked a world steeped in dread and decay, signalling the film’s grim continuity. The project marks the first in a planned trilogy, with Cillian Murphy returning only in the third installment. A 13-year-old boy leads this chapter, offering a perspective shaped entirely by the post-outbreak world. With record-breaking trailer views, the movie shows strong promise of becoming another defining entry in the modern horror canon.

Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr face off in explosive ‘War 2’ teaser
In a thrilling birthday surprise for fans, the teaser for the much-awaited action film War 2 was unveiled on Tuesday, showcasing a high-voltage showdown between Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and RRR sensation NTR Jr.
Timed to coincide with NTR Jr’s birthday on May 20, the teaser delivers on Hritik’s recent promise of an “explosive” treat for fans, Variety reports.
The short but gripping preview marks the first on-screen face-off between the two actors, sending social media into a frenzy.
“War 2” also stars Kiara Advani in the female lead, marking her debut in Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) expanding spy universe. Directed by Ayan Mukerji — best known for the fantasy epic Brahmastra — the film marks his entry into the high-octane spy thriller genre.
Produced by Aditya Chopra, YRF’s spy universe began with the Tiger franchise, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and has grown into one of India’s biggest film properties.
The universe kicked off with Ek Tha Tiger (2012), followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019) starring Roshan and Tiger Shroff, and Pathaan (2023), which featured Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Tiger 3 also released in 2023.
Akshay Kumar reportedly plans Rs 25 crore lawsuit against Paresh Rawal over Hera Pheri 3 exit
The upcoming Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, is set to be the first female-led film in the universe and will follow War 2, with Tiger vs Pathaan — starring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan — to come next.
In the universe, Salman Khan plays RAW agent Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger, while Katrina Kaif plays ISI operative Zoya Humaini.
Roshan’s Kabir Dhaliwal, introduced in War, is a rogue RAW agent, while Shroff’s Khalid Rahmani is his protégé. Shah Rukh Khan plays exiled RAW agent in Pathaan, with Padukone as ISI agent Rubina Mohsin.
The characters often cross over — Kabir appears in Tiger 3, Tiger has a cameo in Pathaan, and Colonel Sunil Luthra (Ashutosh Rana) features across multiple films.
War 2 will be released in cinemas worldwide on August 14 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, aiming to capture a pan-Indian audience.

Akshay Kumar reportedly plans Rs 25 crore lawsuit against Paresh Rawal over Hera Pheri 3 exit
Actor Akshay Kumar is reportedly preparing to sue co-star Paresh Rawal for Rs 25 crore in damages following the latter's sudden departure from the highly anticipated film Hera Pheri 3, which has allegedly disrupted the shoot, according to a report by Hindustan Times.
The legal action comes just two days after Paresh Rawal publicly confirmed his exit from the film via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
In his statement on May 18, Rawal clarified that his decision was not linked to creative or financial disagreements. "I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there are no creative disagreements with the filmmaker. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan," he wrote.
Watch The Skies: World's First AI-dubbed Feature Film to Change The Way of Watching Movies
According to the report, Rawal had been offered nearly three times his regular fee for the role. Despite initially announcing his participation in January and taking part in pre-production activities, including a day of shooting and promotional material, Rawal's sudden withdrawal is being seen by the production team as damaging.
Akshay Kumar, who is also producing the film after acquiring its rights from Feroz Nadiadwala, had begun filming Hera Pheri 3 in April alongside Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal under the direction of Priyadarshan.
A source familiar with the situation said, “Paresh never voiced any issues during planning or filming. To now back out and disappoint fans while causing financial losses is unprofessional and unfair to the production.”
The source further added that Rawal’s conduct shows “a lack of professional commitment and commercial ethics,” noting that he had accepted a signing amount and committed to the project legally. “If he had concerns, he should have spoken up before signing the contract,” the source said.

Highlighting a broader issue within the film industry, the source emphasized, “Bollywood needs to evolve like Hollywood, where actors can no longer arbitrarily walk in and out of projects without consequences.”
Hera Pheri 3 is the third installment in the popular comedy franchise. The original film was released in 2000, followed by a sequel in 2006.

Watch The Skies: World's First AI-dubbed Feature Film to Change The Way of Watching Movies
In the ever-evolving landscape of global cinema, ‘Watch the Skies’ emerges as a bold statement in technological storytelling. This Swedish sci-fi adventure made its American debut on May 9, 2025, signalling a shift in how a film can transcend language. With artificial intelligence now stepping into the dubbing booth, a new chapter begins for international film experiences. Let’s get to know the 2025 film 'Watch The Skies' and uncover the impact of this groundbreaking leap into AI-dubbed cinema.
Plot, Direction, Cast
Set in 1996, this nostalgic sci-fi adventure follows the journey of a teenage girl named Denise. Her world is still haunted by the sudden disappearance of her father. Years ago, he vanished one night while chasing a report of a flying saucer in the woods near their quiet town.
Denise’s search for answers draws her to a group of misfit investigators at a local UFO club- UFO Sweden. The story unfolds with eerie mystery and quiet intensity, echoing the spirit of the iconic ‘The X-Files.’

This sci-fi movie comes to life under the direction of Victor Danell, produced by his banner, Crazy Pictures. Danell also co-wrote the script with Jimmy Nivren Olsson.
The movie stars Inez Dahl Torhaug, Jesper Barkselius, Sara Shirpey, Eva Melander, Hakan Ehn, Isabelle Kyed, Jean-Paul Lucasson, Joakim Sallquist, and Christoffer Nordenrot.
Albin Pettersson and Olle Tholen steer the production.
New Era of the Film Industry
‘Watch the Skies’ stands as the first feature film to showcase an innovative leap in cinematic technology: AI-powered visual dubbing. At its core is TrueSync, a tool developed by British AI startup Flawless. It adjusts actors’ facial movements and spoken lines to align seamlessly with dubbed audio. To ensure authenticity, the original Swedish cast re-recorded their lines in English. It allows the AI to sync both voice and lip movement without replacing the actors themselves.

The result is a dubbed version that preserves the actors' on-screen presence while eliminating the usual disconnect often found in traditional dubbing. XYZ Films, in partnership with Flawless, led this initiative.
It addresses the long-standing language barrier that foreign films face beyond their domestic markets. This method opens doors for international stories to be experienced by broader audiences, without losing their visual and emotional integrity.
Producer Pettersson, in a behind-the-scenes trailer, remarked that this shift represents a breakthrough for the global film industry. He emphasised how language can limit reach and that this technology overcomes that challenge.

Director Danell acknowledged that while initial apprehension is natural among creatives, the process allowed them to retain full artistic control. He described the experience of re-performing the film in English as both unusual and exciting.
Following the 2025 movie ‘Watch the Skies,’ XYZ Films and Flawless are continuing their AI-dubbing collaborations with more multinational titles. The lineup includes ‘The Book of Solutions’ (France), ‘Smugglers’ (Korea), ‘Tatami’ (Iran), and ‘The Light’ (Germany).
Challenges to Embrace
Despite the growing excitement around visual dubbing, not all voices in the global film community are in full support.
Simon Kennedy, president of the Australian Association of Voice Actors (AAVA), acknowledged that the technology behind visual dubbing is undeniably fascinating. However, he pointed out that the ethical framework guiding its use remains unclear. He emphasised that issues of consent, control, and fair compensation must be taken seriously.
Read more: Bhool Chuk Maaf Movie Update: New Theatrical and OTT Release Dates
Kennedy stressed that artists should be fully informed and involved when their vocal likeness is used. He warned against scenarios where voices are manipulated without permission. Some potential risks lead to unauthorised content that an actor may never agree to deliver.
He also noted that Australia does not have a large dubbing industry. Instead, much of the English-language dubbing work for foreign films is carried out in the UK and the US.
Replacing Human Voice Artists
Kennedy expressed apprehension over how rapidly advancing technology could displace human talent. He noted that if Australian film companies gain access to sufficiently convincing AI-generated voices, many would likely adopt them without hesitation. Kennedy pointed to two recent ad campaigns that had quietly employed AI voices without disclosing their use.
These fears intensified in April 2025 with the recent incident in CADA, a Sydney-based station under the Australian Radio Network. They had used an AI-generated radio host for roughly six months without informing its audience.
Read more: Top 10 Netflix Originals Streaming in June 2025
Teresa Lim, vice president of AAVA and a fellow voice actor, reinforced the need for transparency. She acknowledged that ‘Watch the Skies’ still involved human translation and performance, despite relying on AI tools. In her view, this balanced approach remained acceptable. The real issue, she argued, emerges when human contributions are entirely removed. That’s when ethical risks deepen, ranging from the erosion of artistic integrity to the cultural dilution of performances.
Lim also warned that the technology is dangerously efficient and inexpensive. It predicts that such cost-saving appeal might lead producers to bypass traditional dubbing altogether.
Concerns raised by Australian voice artists align with those voiced across the global dubbing community. On March 28, prominent German dubbers, including Peter Flechtner and Claudia Urbschat-Mingues, released a widely circulated video. In it, they warned of growing threats to their profession and urged the public to prioritise ‘artistic intelligence’ over AI.
Read more: Godzilla x Kong: Supernova Teased for 2027 with Another Epic Monster Clash
Flechtner and Urbschat-Mingues are known, respectively, as the German voices for renowned Hollywood artists Ben Affleck and Angelina Jolie.
In France, resistance to AI-dubbing gained traction through the petition #TouchePasMaVF (Don’t Touch My Dubbing). It was initiated by the French Union of Performing Artists and Les Voix, a leading dubbing association. At the time of reporting, it had amassed 221,693 signatures, underscoring the depth of unease within the industry.
Palace Cinemas CEO Benjamin Zeccola, speaking from the Cannes Film Festival, reacted to the Swedish film with visible emotion. He admitted feeling disheartened, explaining that much of his joy in cinema stemmed from hearing actors speak in their native languages. For him, the natural cadence carried by original dialogue reflects one of humanity’s richest traits.
Still, Zeccola also recognised the potential of AI-dubbing to make international cinema more accessible. He acknowledged that such technology might help many reach wider audiences, especially in places like Australia. There, foreign-language titles often remain underexposed.

In a Nutshell
As the world’s first AI-dubbed feature, ‘Watch The Skies’ is truly set to shift how audiences experience foreign films. Backed by Flawless and XYZ Films, the TrueSync tool syncs English dialogue with actors' lip movements. Yet, concerns over ethics, consent, and job loss dominate global voice artist communities. Australian and European professionals warn of fading artistic integrity. Despite its accessibility gains and clear risks, this early stage of innovation is likely to spark further debate.

Let’s find out the movie’s progression while appreciating Asif’s dedication to bringing it to life.
Tiki Taka Cast and Crew
Helmed by Rohith VS, this thriller marks his third collaboration with Asif after ‘Adventures of Omanakuttan’ (2017) and ‘Iblis’ (2018). The screenplay credit goes to Sharis Mohammed. This project is touted as one of Asif Ali’s most ambitious big-budget ventures.
The lineup of talent boasts Wamiqa Gabbi, Lukman Avaran, Naslen Gafoor, Santhosh Prathap, Sanchana Natarajan, and Harisree Ashokan.

Siju Mathew and Navis Xaviour steer the production, uniting Juvis Production and Adventures Company. The core crew features Sony Seban’s cinematography, Dawn Vincent’s score, and Chaman Chakko’s edits.
Behind the Making of John Denver: The Heart of the Story
Asif Ali reflected on his connection with John Denver, the central character in ‘Tiki Taka’, highlighting a deep admiration for the role. He described Denver as a fighter, defined by resilience, determination, and an unyielding spirit. These traits resonated with him the moment the character was introduced.
The actor shared that his portrayal demanded emotional investment and significant physical preparation. A complete physical transformation was required, along with intense fight training. The process, however, was far from smooth. He revealed that a serious mishap during the preparation phase added to the challenges.

What stood out was how his personal experience on the film closely reflected the struggles faced by the character. According to him, the journey unexpectedly became a parallel to his own, marked by endurance and inner strength.
Back on Track After Unexpected Hiatus
The process took a severe turn in 2023. During combat training, Asif encountered a serious accident that halted everything. The injury left him bedridden, then confined to a wheelchair for weeks. What made the ordeal even harder was the realisation that a year’s worth of physical preparation was lost. Unlike the resilience of John Denver, he broke down in tears on the hospital bed.
Now, after nearly 18 months, the cameras are rolling again. Despite healing from meniscus and ligament injuries, Asif has returned to the set. His commitment remains unwavering, driven by the same force that first drew him to the role.

Paresh Rawal Quits Hera Pheri 3, Leaving Franchise Fans Shocked
Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has officially confirmed his exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ during the early stages of its production. This new installment continues the iconic Bollywood film series that has long featured him as the beloved character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. This unexpected turn of events has sent waves of disappointment across the fanbase. Let’s take a look at what led to this surprising decision and the reactions of fans.
Makers of the Hera Pheri Film Series
This Indian comedy movie series debuted in 2000 and was directed by Priyadarshan and produced by A.G. Nadiadwala. Backed by the same producer, the second film was released in 2006 with Neeraj Vora directing. Now the third edition boasts Farhad Samji as its director and Firoz A. Nadiadwala as its producer. Paresh Rawal Throughout the Franchise
Rawal’s portrayal of Baburao is legendary in Bollywood. From the very first film, Baburao, affectionately known as Babu Bhaiya, quickly won over audiences. His character is a bumbling yet kind-hearted landlord, often seen in a perpetually inebriated state. Despite his flaws, Baburao forms an unlikely but effective partnership with Raju, played by Akshay Kumar, and Shyam, portrayed by Suniel Shetty.
The chemistry between the three iconic characters surpassed all expectations of the comic-film lovers. Baburao has a unique way of delivering dialogue. Portraying eccentric activities with impeccable comic timing, this veteran actor claimed his place among the most popular cult figures in Bollywood. Memorable lines such as “Utha le re baba” and “Ye Babu Rao ka style hai” have transcended the screen. These phrases have become staples in online culture, inspiring countless memes and GIFs. These remain popular on social media platforms even today.

Reason Behind the Exit
The iconic actor confirmed his departure in a statement with Bollywood Hungama, simply acknowledging it as fact. Most importantly, creative disagreements between Rawal and the makers led to his decision to leave the project.
In a separate conversation with Lallantop, Rawal opened up about deeper reasons behind his choice. He admitted feeling creatively stifled, describing the experience of being typecast as suffocating, likening it to a noose. He recalled approaching filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj back in 2007, soon after the second installment was released. Rawal had expressed his urge to break free from the Baburao image. He wanted to play a fresh character while retaining the familiar getup, hoping Bhardwaj could shape something new.
However, he noted that most directors continued to view him solely through the lens of ‘Baburao’. As an actor, he felt the need to explore beyond that comfort zone.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar had once stepped away from the project too, before eventually returning. Fans of the franchise now hold onto the same hope that Rawal might also find his way back.
Audience Reaction
For the audience, his absence felt like a blow to the very spirit of the film series. The character of Babu Rao isn’t just a part of the story; he’s the pulse of the series. Without him, a large section of the audience believes the film simply won’t carry the same charm.
Social media quickly reflected this wave of dismay. One user wondered aloud if all the fun had exited along with Rawal. Another firmly stated that without him, there’s no ‘Hera Pheri 3’ worth watching. Some fans urged the makers to reconsider, fearing the series might lose its legacy if pushed forward without its iconic face. One even pleaded not to ruin what had already become a cult classic for the sake of profit.

Amid the disappointment, a few held on to hope. One fan expressed belief that Akshay Kumar might somehow bring Rawal back. According to fans, the movie just isn’t imaginable without Baburao.
Bottom Line
Paresh Rawal’s exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ marks a major shift in the franchise. His role as Baburao had long defined the series, blending comedy and heart in equal measure. Fans see his absence as a void that the upcoming installment may not fill. Social media is flooded with calls for his return, echoing his unmatched impact. While disappointment runs deep, many still hope Akshay Kumar can persuade Rawal to return and complete the beloved trio once again.
